FGE presents at Sacramento State’s “Keeping the Dream Alive” Conference

On March 10, 2023, the FGE team presented at the 7th Annual Keeping the Dream Alive Conference, hosted by California State University, Sacramento.

Our presentation, titled Putting on Your Undocu-Lens: How to Advocate for Undocumented Students in Higher Education, highlighted how different forms of advocacy can collectively help bring institutional and state-level change for undocumented students. In the continued absence of federal immigration reform, we believe it is critical that schools and colleges are well-equipped to support their undocumented student populations.

The presentation was co-led by Arabi Hassan, Co-Founder and Co-Director of FGE, Sarah Kim, Director of Partnerships and Community Engagement at FGE, and Ariana Aparicio Aguilar, a member of FGE’s inaugural Working Professionals Advisory Board.

We look forward to our continued participation in undocumented student-focused and other education equity conferences!
