Trainings
These trainings are designed for staff and leadership at K-12 schools, colleges, graduate/professional schools, and other student-serving organizations across the U.S.
We offer the following topical trainings and can curate combinations of these sessions to meet your specific needs.
Undocu-Ally Trainings
Our three-part Undocu-Ally training series is our most comprehensive training designed to support campus staff, administration, and leadership on how to effectively support undocumented students, with a focus on college and career success.
- Federal, state, and campus policies affecting undocumented students
- Effective strategies for advising undocumented students on access to higher education, post-graduation, and income-generating opportunities
- Personalized consulting and recommendations for your institution to make programming and services inclusive of undocumented students
Includes pre-training and post-training surveys used to personalize the trainings to your organization's specific needs and highlight areas of knowledge gaps.
Protecting Immigrant Students
Our newest training on protecting students in the current political climate covers:
- Best practices for supporting undocumented students

Career Center Trainings
The Career Center Trainings cover:
- How to advise undocumented students and create career plans aligned with their goals and legal realities.
- Income-generating opportunities without work authorization, such as entrepreneurship, freelancing, independent contracting, and worker cooperatives.
- Career pathways that are more accessible based on state policies, licensing restrictions, and evolving opportunities like DACA or TPS.
- Strength-based advising practices to build trust and promote long-term success.
BRIDGE Certification Program
FGE, in collaboration with the Presidents’ Alliance and CUNY’s Office of Undocumented and Immigrant Student Programs, offers a nine-week, expert-led certification program that equips staff and faculty with the knowledge and tools to support undocumented students within their roles, and in turn, create an inclusive and informed campus.
The BRIDGE Certification Program:
- Trains staff on how to make programming inclusive to undocumented students across campus.
- Standardizes best practices and approaches for working with and developing programs for undocumented students.
- Offers up-to-date guidance on shifting laws and policies affecting undocumented students and subsequent ways to support them.
- Provides a certification and connects staff to a nationwide network of allies.
Student-Facing Workshops
We provide workshops directly to students covering:
- Information specific to the unique needs of first-generation and undocumented students
- Guidance that is personalized to students' grade/education level
- Opportunities for students to ask questions and share their experiences
