Internships for Spring 2024

Part of our goal at First Gen Empower is to provide meaningful opportunities for current college students, recent college graduates, and professionals passionate about education equity to get involved and gain valuable skills.

Spring 2024 Internship

Position Overview

  • Conduct research on policy issues affecting first-generation and undocumented college students

  • Create and update materials for our live trainings, workshops, and consulting projects

  • Assist in drafting and submitting grant applications

  • Develop and maintain relationships with partner organizations

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for ongoing projects

  • Develop and post on social media to expand outreach

Eligibility Requirements

  • Eligible for the Dream Act Service Incentive Grant (DSIG) program

  • Third or fourth year college student

  • Based in the Los Angeles area

  • A strong writer and researcher

  • Able to attend in-person events when needed (transportation costs covered)

  • Passionate about immigrants' rights and education issues
