California's AB 540 law lets eligible undocumented students pay in-state tuition at CA public colleges, regardless of immigration status. It's still in effect today, though it has faced federal challenges. Check your eligibility with Immigrants Rising's free California In-State Tuition Tool (ISTT). La ley AB 540 de California permite que estudiantes indocumentados elegibles paguen matrícula estatal en universidades públicas de California, sin importar su estatus migratorio. Depending on your immigration status, you may qualify for federal aid (FAFSA) or CADAA. You only submit one, not both, each academic year. Not sure which?
